Thank you for your email and your interest in the University of Richmond!Here, we require the Noncustodial CSS Profile or the Noncustodial waiver to have a complete application. Since the University of Richmond meets 100% of demonstrated need (as determined by our financial aid application process), we do not waive this requirement in all circumstances. Please submit the CSS Noncustodial Waiver Request to our office. Instructions are provided on the form itself. Be sure to complete the form with as much information and detail as possible. If you do not know the answer, write “unknown”.
Submission of this waiver does not guarantee approval. If denied, a noncustodial parent profile would be required to have a complete need-based aid application. Additionally, we may request supplemental documentation or respond with questions.

Submit the completed waiver along with the required statements and supporting documents to IDOC along with the parental tax documents for review.
While this waiver request is under review, the noncustodial parent profile requirement will remain in your financial aid checklist as unsatisfied. Let us know if you have any additional questions and we will be happy to assist you.
