Smith College NCP Waiver Form

From: Student Financial Services (SFS) <sfs@smith.edu>
Date: On Tuesday, October 14th, 2025

Thanks for your email; we do have a system in place to waive requirements for your non-custodial parent. I’ve attached a copy of the waiver for your review.

As part of the waiver petition process, we ask for both a signed student statement outlining your relationship (if any) with your non-custodial parent, and a signed third party statement. As every student’s situation is different, there is some flexibility with the specific person that can supply the letter (teacher, counselor, clergy, etc) but we ask that it’s not from a family member or an attorney.

For a list of other requirements for your financial aid application, you can review our website at the following link

In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns about the waiver process!

Sincerely,

Student Financial Services
